The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require that lightning protection systems, often referred to as lightning conductors, are tested annually in accordance with BSEN 62305.

Establishing a professional installation in conjunction with regular maintenance will endeavour to extend the lifespan of your system, maximising the return of your investment. The recommended testing of your system is at eleven month intervals, this is in order to monitor the effect of seasonal variations in resistance or other characteristics of the system.

SGN’s Lightning Conductor Specialists provide a complete service that includes:

  • Inspection of all conductors, joints and parts

  • Soil resistivity testing

  • Earth resistance testing on individual electrodes

  • Continuous testing across conductors

  • Maintenance and repairs

  • Comprehensive reports on the overall condition of the conductor and system

At SGN we work in unison to ensure optimum system performance of your lightning conductors as well as the safety and protection of your building, assets and occupants
